Yep! We just made it with coconut milk and sugar, whipped in our kitchenaid stand mixer. It was tasty!

Jen & Linda:

We used string instead of yarn- not sure if that makes a difference. The florist made them and I believe that she used fabric stiffener, which made it stronger than using glue. I’ve made them with fabric using modge podge and it worked too. I think a big key is making sure that it is completely dry before you pop the balloon. Like- no doubt about it dry.

If you click on the pingback from The Moody Side of Life (comment #22) she suggests putting vasoline on the balloon before putting on the string so that the balloon detaches easily. Often, the balloon will totally shrink on it’s own.

Hi! I absolutely am in love with your bridesmaid dresses. I want to purchase just one for my sister(maid of honor). Is there anyway i can get one? My little guy is allergic to dairy! Coconut milk whipped cream? Do you just whip coconut milk the same as regular whipping cream? Would that even work? If you have time to reply and tell me I would be thrilled. Thanks! Kelly

Hi Courtney, I saved your blogpost once upon a time (before pinterest) for the idea of the seasonal parties you were throwing (the spring picnic, winter soup party, etc.) I just clicked back over to see what you’re up to now.

I applaud you in making the hard decision but the one you feel is best for you and your family right now. I have recently seen several professionals who have built businesses stepping back to spend time being mama and wife.

God calls us to different things at different times and it is often so hard to change course but I think it is encouraging to us all as we see others doing it and following where they feel God is leading.
