My class is now up on Cricut’s website! In it, I talk about trends and give project ideas including vase wraps, labels, snack cones, a cute card box idea, drink stirrers and many more. Then I give step by step instructions on how to many adorable scalloped escort cards and table number signs.

I just can’t get enough of the amazingly fun ideas in this wedding, found on Oh Happy Day! & Martha Stewart Weddings. Surprising guests with rented bikes so that everyone could ride around from site to site for a progressive wedding- seriously one of the most creative ideas I have ever heard of. I get emails all the time asking for instructions on how to make it. It actually is super involved and time consuming- it consists of weaving (basically sewing) together 56 11″ circles and hanging it on a stand made out of painted wood. We do take custom orders for the backdrops (can be shipped anywhere in the US) and rent the stand locally in Southern CA.

However, there is an easy way to recreate this look with much less time and expense. For Miranda and Dave’s wedding, which we featured earlier this week, we simply taped the circles to an existing wall at the event venue.

If you have got a blank space to work with, you can easily get a similar feel to the backdrop above by taping circles in a pattern. I use either double sided Scotch tape or loops of duct tape, depending on the material of the wall. **Important note: if you are having your event at a venue, please be sure to check on their rules for attaching things to the wall. Some will not let you tape anything to the ceiling or walls**

You can use these for a variety of things: dessert backdrop, photobooth backdrop, guestbook wall or- as we also did for Miranda & Dave’s wedding- make a photo wall. We attached smaller circles to a different wall and then mounted photos of the couple in each circle. It was a fun alternative to a slideshow or photo album guestbook.

I know that it is not even thanksgiving yet, but it is definitely time to start thinking about your Christmas Cards. Today I want to share with you some cards that I love, designed by the adorable ladies over at Posh Paperie. Their Christmas line is super cute and even better- you do not have to do any work other than sending them your photo. For all of you busy ladies out there, I know that is a huge score!

It’s beginning to look a lot like….

Jen of Green Wedding Shoes was so wonderful to feature our shoot on the blog today. Thanks Jen!

We new we wanted to go for a simple, outdoor picnic feel infused with some vintage and anthropologie style flair. The beautiful wood tables and benches are from Classic Party Rentals and we added some simple fabric around the cushions to make it more unique. This is an easy DIY project- you would be amazing how far a little bit of fabric can go to give an otherwise generic piece of rental furniture a blast of style.

I made the table runner out of one of my favorite Amy Butler Fabrics and we took a lot of inspiration from it’s fun summery print. LaVonne’s arrangements, utilizing gorgeous pink peonies and crespedia balls, were so adorable! I just loved what she came up with.

We incorporated in a “bicycle built for two” theme and Karrie of Posh Paperie did an amazing job on the adorable stationary. A big thanks to LaVonne for coming through last minute and finding us a vintage bicycle and even bringing a vintage tub. I love those touches!

Each napkin had a different ring treatment. The napkin rings were a fun DIY project. I got knobs from Anthropologie, clipped off the screws so that they would lay flat, and then created the ring by using two different types of ribbon (including that beautiful vintage velvet ribbon I found on etsy) and hot gluing the knob to the ribbon. Super easy and super cute.

We also used some additional knobs on the table to add a little extra charm.

The lemonade station was one of my favorite touches.

We do not have a close up shot of it, but LaVonne created a beauty of a bouquet to go with the table as well:
