With their wedding almost a month away, we are so thrilled to be working with Jenifer and Casey! From the moment we met Jen, we absolutely fell in love with her style and vision! Not to mention they are an absolutely stunning couple who will be breathtaking on their wedding day. Lane Dittoe portrayed the couple’s engagement session so beautifully! We can’t wait until October! This first photo is captivating…I want it poster sized in my office.

Julie & Bryan’s Engagement Photos

Darcie kicked off our wedding season last month with a gorgeous wedding at one of our favorite LA venues- Vibiana. We cannot wait to see and share photos of Bryan & Julie’s day taken by the amazing team of Erin Hearts Court. In the mean time, here is a little introduction to this darling couple, shot in downtown LA.

Custom banners for engagement shoots

I love it when I get to see photos of my banners in action. Most of the time, I ship them off and never know how customers use them. Every so often, though, a customer will send me photos of my banners or flags used on their wedding day and I absolutely love it!

Recently, Logan Cole, a photographer based here in Southern California, purchased a few of my banners to have on hand for his clients. He sent over photos from an engagement shoot that featured one of our banners and it made me so happy!

The banner used is a “blessed” banner, made out of coral Amy Butler paper and navy lettering.

Meet Miranda and Dave

Last weekend, I went out to Palm Springs for Miranda and Dave’s mid-century modern inspired Palm Springs wedding. It was a great start to our 2010 wedding season and I cannot wait to share photos from their celebration. Alison and Christopher’s Engagement Photos

I am so excited for the wedding line up we have going for 2010. We have the sweetest couples who are planning super creative, stylish weddings. One of our first few weddings of the year is Chris and Alison’s Cape Cod inspired wedding at a family home on the beach in Balboa. I cannot wait!

When they booked me, they were living in the Caribbean where Chris was working as a pilot. They then moved back to Orange County and now are up in Northern California while Alison is taking sommelier classes (how cool is that?). Funny thing is, their wonderful photographer- Meg Perotti- moved up to Northern California around the same time. When it came time to shoot their engagement photos, it turned out that they lived around the corner for each other. Here are a few photos from their engagement session:

Jeanette and JJ: Engaged

I love when couples incorporate their story into their engagement photos. Jeannette and JJ spent most of their time falling in love while living in New York- so dreamy! Although they are on the west coast now, they traveled back to NYC to have their engagement photos taken by Tara Leigh. I absolutely love the moments she captured and am seriously ready to hop on a plane right now to go visit one of my favorite places in the world.

I cannot wait for their wedding this summer at Rancho Las Lomas. If these photos are any indication of how amazing they are going to look on their wedding day, we are all going to be in for a treat! You can bet the wedding will be full of personal touches and beautiful details as well.

The almost marrieds

We have a big wedding weekend here at Joyful Weddings and Events: 3 weddings! I want to introduce you to two of them.

We kick off the weekend on friday with a beautiful wedding at Rancho Las Lomas. The couple did not take engagement pics, so you will just have to wait to meet them!

On saturday, Darcie and I split up. Darcie will be helping to make Michelle and Justin’s San Juan Capistrano wedding a smooth success. How cool is this: It is at a haunted mansion. Yep. Meet Michelle and Justin:
