Josh and Brittany’s Honolulu Wedding: Part 3

Okay, here is where the crazy comes in. In an effort to save my dear friend some money, I offered to make the centerpieces. In hawaii. What she wanted was simple, so I could not bear to see her pay so much for something I could easily do myself. So… the night before the wedding, my hubby and I turned our hotel room into a flower shop. My work space was the ironing board. Poor housekeeping staff probably had no idea what was going on!

It turned out wonderfully though and I have to give a huge thank you to my husband who placed all of the centerpieces and did all of the finishing touches while I got my hair and makeup done!

The favors were little woven boxes filled with Hawaiian Sea Salt along with a meaningful message from the bride and groom.

I found these great little linen and shell covered vases at Michaels and carried six of them over to Hawaii along with pounds of seaglass. You should have seen (and tried to carry!) my carry on suitcase!

The cake, which was filled with delicious tropical flavors, was baked in house at the Kahala.

Brittany and Josh are quite the dancers, so when they asked me about doing a surprise first dance I told them that they HAD to do it! Only a couple of us knew what was coming. They started nice and sweet…

…and then busted out into MJ’s “Beat It”. Every single guest was on their feet cheering as Josh break danced and Brittany showed off her hip hop moves.
