What? Wait… What??
My thoughts when I hung up the phone. Just the night before, as I was preparing for our move by weeding through all of my wedding magazines, I stopped a moment to admire one of my favorite magazines, Bride and Bloom. I looked at the Featured Coordinator section and thought, “It would be so cool to be in there one day”.
“One day” came literally the next day. I received a call from the wonderful Leila of Be Inspired PR asking me if I would like to design a table and be featured in the upcoming issue of The Bride and Bloom. My heart jumped and all I could think of was… “What? Wait… me???” (closely followed by “of course”!!)
Four days later, after a nutty weekend of moving, my wonderful design team and I assembled a beauty of a tablescape and I loved every minute of it.
Here is the outcome: “A Chocolate Dipped Soiree” featured in the current issue of Bride and Bloom, on newsstands now.
I have to give a major standing ovation to my design team. I gave these vendors 3 days notice over a weekend in the middle of wedding season. They all pulled everything together with amazing style and excitement.
*Photography: The extremely talented Paula and Mike of Luna Photo
*Florals: The amazing LaVonne of Adorations (How cute is that boutonniere and I just love the rosette wrap on the bouquet!)
*Stationary: The too sweet for words team that is Elizabeth and Karrie of Posh Paperie (who design locally in San Diego, but also for brides anywhere in the world! Karrie is also the brains and beauty behind my new website & blog! I also owe Karrie an extra high-5 for helping me come up with the title for the table)
*Cake: My favorite baking girl- Melody of Sweet and Saucy shop. She drove that beauty for an hour and half to get it to the shoot and seriously knocked it out of the park. It is one of my most favorite cakes ever.
*Linens: Wildflower Linens is my go to for unique linens. Desiree is incredible. She is opening up the new Costa Mesa showroom- if you are in Orange County, be sure to stop by and say hello!
*Chairs: Those beautiful rosette chairs from Chameleon Chair providing much of the inspiration for this design. I am in love with them. Thanks Rhonda!
*Rentals: Megan with Classic Party Rentals is the best. Always gets me what I need- even with three days notice.
*Venue: Suite and Tender Restaurant at Se San Diego. Angela and team- thank you for pulling it together for us on the morning of the shoot. We love this great hotel in the Gaslamp- so much style but not stuffy at all.
*Of course, a huge thank you to Leila of Be Inspired PR for making this happen and for believing in me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your support.
Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart. You are the best! I will share more details and photos soon. For now, I am going to flip through the magazine again and be filled with awe and humility as I stare at my work in print in one of my favorite magazines.
Who knows? Your “one day” may actually be tomorrow!
